100th Day in TK
This is a very special day in TK and Kindergarten! Though it will look a little different this year, it will still be unique and lots of fun! I will be sending a dedicated email to explain the parts you can prepare at home, but this will give you an idea of what we will be doing!
- 100th Day Fashion Show (Tues. Feb. 9th) Aprons will be sent home on 2/3/21
- 100 Year Old Writing (shared on Wed. Feb. 10th) – info sent home on 2/3/21
- Dress up like you’re 100 Years old (start gathering ideas and items now for Feb. 10th)
- Many 100 Day activities in Zoom that day that I will send home and guide them with on Wed. Feb. 10th!
Happy Numbers (Math Option)
This week in Thursday Tech Time we introduced another math option for our Asynchronous time. If your child would like another option for their Asynch. Math time, they can also do Happy Numbers. Most of the students started or even finished the introductory assessment which determines the difficulty of work that is given to each student. Check it out with your student and see what you think. This is also accessible in our Clever Portal. 
Fine Artist Lesson #3 Coming Up 1/25/21
Take note and mark your calendars! Our 3rd Fine Artist Lesson is the upcoming Monday! You also received an email from Shannon Tamayo regarding the details of this lesson. Have your child ready with the materials requested from the email (pre-cut your paper) at 1:00pm on Monday. Can’t wait to do some art with you!
MLK Week
This past week we spent a few days inquiring about Martin Luther King Jr. We learned a few new things about this influential man that helped to change our laws and create fairness and equality for all.
Exercises Each Morning
Recently we’ve been ending our Morning Meeting with exercises instead of Go Noodle. We introduced 7 new exercises each morning and are now trying them out! Cheers to the parents who have joined us on the floor! A special thanks to Molly Pincherli who led the class in a combination of exercises. If you would be interested in leading our class in 5 minutes or less of exercises, send me an email as we would love parent models/leaders (as would your children)!

Unity Link Due Date Extended
If you didn’t get a chance to contribute a link for the school wide unity chain, the due date has been extended. Check out some of the ones turned in from our class!
Asynchronous Work for January 25 – 29th
As we have worked a schedule to limit student online time, try to get practice on these platforms for student practice.
- Math – ST Math or Happy Numbers
- Independent Reading – RAZ Kids or Book Bag (read books 3-5 times each)
- Seesaw – Assigned within Seesaw
- WRITING – Submit 1 piece of INDEPENDENT writing each week on Seesaw (done with paper and pencil/crayons). Please have your child use the camera feature to submit a picture of their writing. Then have them use the microphone feature to record their writing and submit with the green check.
- If your child is NOT writing sentences, have them label a picture (with their own spelling or letter label for each item) and submit a photo and use the microphone to have your child tell about their art and labels.
- If your child is writing sentences, they can write a Beginning/Middle/End story about myself OR write a letter to Mrs. Miller asking me and telling me anything they would like. They may include a picture and must submit a photo of the writing and recording of them reading it.
