Super Pledge Update!!!
We made the TOP 5!!!! Congrats to the youngest and newest penguins of the school! These are the most updated standings! Thank you for taking the time to fill out the registration form and for any contributions you’ve made to help our school! Remember you do not need to make a donation to complete the registration form! We are getting close to 80% to get our popsicle party!

Raising Blue Hands
This is the primary way I know if a child is trying to participate or has a question as I often can’t get all the students on one screen and if we are sharing screen I can only see a fraction of the students at once. The “blue hand” is a way I can easily see regardless of who’s faces are showing. Take a moment to practice with your child how to raise/lower their blue hands.
- Clicking on the three dots within their picture box (•••) OR…
- Selecting “raise hand” or clicking on “more” next to their name within the list of names when the “Participants” box is displayed.
Zoom Log In After 8:30
Just a reminder to have your child wait to log into our Morning Meeting Zoom after 8:30 as the 8:00 – 8:30 time slot is for Office Hours. I have a few students who log in regularly before 8;30 just to be logged in early. Great preparation and promptness, but if possible have your student wait until after 8:30 am. Thank you!
Sight Word Assessment
Ms. Sarah, our TK helper will be assessing students soon on Red Sight Words. Please make sure you are practicing these with your child (see game on website under Resources). Orange words are for October. Make sure you cut those out and are practicing those as well. Only add 1-2 new words at a time. Build new words in until your child can read them with automaticity. Games and ideas are attached on the paper.
Scholastic Book Order
- Our September Book Order has arrived!! Books have come and will be distributed on October 12th at distribution day!
- October Book Order…All orders need to be in by October 5th. If you have time sensitive books that need to be delivered before our Nov. distribution day, please contact me and we can easily make arrangements to get you the books.
Asynchronous Work This Week:
As we have worked a schedule to limit student online time, try to get practice on these platforms for student practice.
- ST Math (15 minutes) Tuesday/Thursday – 2 – 3 Days a week
- RAZ Kids (15 minutes) Mon./Wed./Fri. – 3 – 5 Days a week
- Seesaw – Assigned activities for whole class and/or Penguin Groups (Royals, Emperors, & Kings).
