JAT (Jog-A-Thon) Total
What a great start we are off to! Thank you to everyone who has registered and to those who also donated and got donations from friends and family! Our event is coming soon! Keep on rallying for EBS and all that the funds raise provide to make our school great!
We also found out the TK shirt color will be pink for the 2020 JAT!
Generosity Bag Total
Yahoo! The collection has begun! We have been practicing tallying and counting on by 5’s as more bags come in! So exciting! Feel free to ask a neighbor or family member if they’d like to join as well! Its a way for everyone to be involved and supporting helping others! Also feel free to put a note of wellness or kindness in the bag as well. It is optional but another way to show others we care (see sample below)!

First Field Trip – Save the Date
We officially are signed on for our first field trip on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020! Hooray! We can have an unlimited number of volunteers so as long as you are D Cleared, you are welcome to come! Paper work will go home in April …the cost is free but we will need a permission slip for each child.
We will be visiting Sunrise Living Memory Care Center in Sabre Springs. This is an awesome event where mutual friendships and smiles are born! We will visit a local park on our way back to school to our snack and of course to play! Its a fun, memorable and tear-jerking kind of day! We hope you can make it!
Last Month to get Cleared!!!!
March is the last month to get cleared for the 2020 school year! If you haven’t been cleared, PLEASE get your TB test, fill out and application and return it before spring break! Every year I have a parent that wants to come to one of the events below and isn’t cleared. It takes just a moment of time and the TB test results last for 4 years. If you wish to join us on either of our 2 field trips you must have D clearance even if you plan to meet us there. Thank you for respecting these rules that are created for student safety! Here are the events coming up before the end of the year that you won’t want to miss!

AFP Meeting Postponed until 3/10/20

Poetry Writing
We are continuing our writing in poetry. We have discussed different poetry endings and how poetry defies many of the writing rules. It has been a switch to not write in sentences, but rather to write in phrases or words about a topic. Here’s an adorable poem written in the first days of our unit about a sweet little brother!
TK Science Night
TK Science night is coming up soon! This is a night where TK and K students are welcome to join with their parent(s) to rotate through a variety of science experiments! A lot of planning, materials and prep go into making this night engaging and fun! Each grade has their own science night and due to limited numbers of materials, this event is open to TK/K students only (no siblings). We hope you are able to make it out!
Dr. Seuss Week
We had so much fun this week! Thank you for all your support and for joining us for family reading! A special thanks to the man that created engaging and silly books and stories that continue to draw children into reading for years to come!
