206 Halloween Party!

This week we had our Halloween Party! What a blast! Thank you to every parent and our Room Parents who planned and organized this whole party! Fantastic fun for all the kids! They loved it all!

Bat Hats

This week we learned all about Bats! We made Bat Hats with our buddies last week and spent some time learning about these nocturnal animals.

Field Trip Information

This Thursday we will be going to the Apple Orchard. Students will be riding on a bus while parent chaperones drive by car to meet us there. The kids are so excited and can’t wait to ride the bus and pick apples.

A reminder will go home Wednesday to remind students to bring a snack in a disposable bag along with a plastic bag (labeled with their name) to bring their apples home in.

Students will hear Mrs. Corocan tell about about apples, their reproduction, and parts of the apple and apple tree. She will go into depth into the science behind it with visual supports. She will ask adults to kindly not use cell phones during the presentation. Only D cleared parents/teachers are able to take students to the restroom. You can also help with students picking apples from the tree. We will then load back in the bus and head back to EBS. Keep in mind, when we return from the Apple Orchard it will be close to Thursday dismissal and may be crowded. You may want to carpool as parents for this reason.

Make-Up/Volunteer Picture Day

On the same day of our Field Trip is our Make-Up Picture Day which is also Volunteer Picture Day.

  • If your child is taking make-up pictures, please arrive early or on time and let me know as we will be sending them up right away so that they can get back on time for the bus.
  • If you are a parent volunteer and would like to have your picture taken for a Volunteer name tag you can also stop by that morning and get your picture taken that morning.

EBS School Book Fair

The EBS Book Fair is coming! This is a fun event that we have at our school each fall. Our class will visit together to either shop (you can send money with your child) or window shop (in which you can return at a later time with your child to purchase). The book fair will be open from Thursday, Nov. 14th – Friday 22nd. Our class will visit on:

  • Friday, November 14th from 9:00 am – 9:30 am. We welcome any parents to stay that morning and visit with us.

Grandparents Day

EBS also celebrates a school Grandparents Day on Friday, November 22nd. We will be inviting all grandparents in to spend a short time with our class in which we will do a short activity together with them. Grandparents may visit the book fair with their grandchild this day as well.

November Sight Words/Book Order

Friday’s Folder included the new November Sight Words (YELLOW Words) and a new scholastic book order for this month! Check them out!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Just a few reminders as our conferences approach..

  • We will have about 25 minutes to discuss your child’s progress and next steps.
  • Please let me know if you have a question, please let know initially so we can save time for it.
  • There is no childcare is available for conferences.
  • Please let me know when you arrive even if there is another conference still finishing up.

Letter of the Week…Ii!

This week we practiced writing and remembering the capital letter, lower case letter and sound of “Ii.” These students have made such great improvements.
